Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture will provide essential equipment, including three subsea trees and a high-precision manifold. Additionally, the technology package includes distribution units and integrated control systems that ensure operability in complex environments. The technical deployment is scheduled for the operational phases of 2026 and 2027, firmly relying on the manufacturing capabilities the group maintains active in Malaysian territory.
Mads Hjelmeland, the organization’s CEO, has stated that this award represents a crucial stage for the region’s energy resources. The collaboration with PTTEP has spanned over two decades, enabling efficient execution across the three recently signed projects. The Kikeh field stands out as the precursor to the country’s deepwater activities, maintaining its relevance since operations began almost twenty years ago.
The current intervention aims to optimize production in water depths ranging from 1,300 to 1,400 meters. The integration of these high-value subsea systems ensures that the local industry continues to advance in safety and technical efficiency standards.
