Flex LNG has entered into a time charter agreement with one of the major Supermajors in the energy sector. This commercial relationship secures a firm two-year period to commence immediately following the conclusion of its previous service.

The Flex Aurora contract

Effectively, this move allows the 174,000 cubic meter LNG carrier to maintain constant operability. The structure of the pact includes extension options that could bind the vessel until 2034. The company’s management seeks to shield its order book against price swings in the global liquefied natural gas market.

Based on the X-DF technologytechnology, this 2020-built vessel represents the cutting edge in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction. It is a strategic part of a fleet with at least 55 years of guaranteed contracts. Likewise, the timely delivery of the vessel after its last deployment underlines the logistical reliability that today’s major energy players demand.

On a technical view, the spot shipping market is showing signs of firmness despite environmental volatility. Flex LNG maintains two additional vessels operating in this segment to capture immediate profits. The integration of long-term contracts and direct exposure to the day-ahead market positions the firm at a distinct competitive advantage for the second quarter of 2026.

Ultimately, the integration of these operations will positively impact upcoming financial results. Investors should consider that the company monitors rapid changes in global energy supply to adjust its forecasts.
