During its participation in CONEXPO-CON/AGG, North America’s largest construction trade show, Ditch Witch introduced Orange Intel, its platform designed to redefine how utility contractors manage their underground construction projects.

What is Orange Intel?

It is a comprehensive platform that links every phase of the workflow, from pre-inspection and drilling planning to final blueprints and post-inspection reports. Its design allows for the orchestration of complex processes from a single location, facilitating the integrated management of geographically dispersed projects.

Thanks to API-enabled data exchange, Orange Intel connects various essential equipment in underground construction, such as horizontal directional drills, mud cleaning systems, subsurface locating tools, and mapping platforms like Utiliview and Esri. This integration creates a unified ecosystem that enhances real-time operational decision-making.

The platform also allows users to customize dashboards, configure alerts, monitor productivity, track fuel consumption, and automate preventive maintenance. All of this is complemented by a geolocation and GPS tracking system to increase fleet safety.

An Evolution Based on Real Experience

Since the company introduced the JT/AT40 model with standard telematics capabilities in 2017, it has consolidated its leadership in connected solutions. The platform is the result of years of experience in integrating real field data, condensed into a single platform designed by the company’s own engineering team.

Advantages for Utility Contractors

One of the most valued aspects for contractors is the ability to access MyDitchWitch, the centralized portal from which the entire system is managed. This functionality streamlines collaboration between field personnel and the administrative team, reducing operational friction and downtime.

For utility contractors managing complex jobs across multiple locations, this connectivity translates into greater visibility, more robust documentation, and improved real-time decision-making.

A Step Forward in Job Site Management

As projects become more data-dependent, the industry demands tools that go beyond basic tracking. Orange Intel offers precisely that: integrated intelligence at every stage of the project lifecycle, with an intuitive interface that prioritizes ease of use.
