The company Bilfinger has secured the contract to supervise the comprehensive development of the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 wind farms. This event confirms that previous experience in onshore projects has provided a solid foundation for Equinor and Polenergia to once again trust its offshore technical capabilities.

The deployment of the Bałtyk 2 and 3 wind farms

The magnitude of this project involves the installation of 100 wind turbines that will transform the energy security of the region. Bilfinger will monitor the assembly of these turbines and will also be responsible for overseeing the installation of the offshore substations and the laying of more than 120 kilometers of export cables. This is an engineering deployment that requires absolute precision in complying with permits and safety standards.

It is evident that the consolidation of the Baltic Sea as a clean energy generation hub is a priority for Poland. The combined projected capacity of these farms will directly contribute to the regional energy transition.

The participation of an international provider of industrial services ensures that design requirements are strictly met. Likewise, constant technical advice to the investor will minimize operational risks during the connection of the turbines to the onshore section.

Client trust is earned through tangible results in the field. Jaromír Kříž, the firm’s head for Central and Eastern Europe, has made it clear that safety and efficiency are the pillars of their management. This close collaboration between the supervisor and the developers ensures that project quality is not compromised at any stage of construction.
