Swiss airline will be the first in the world to use solar fuel

Sunlight may be the path to carbon-neutral flights thanks to “sun-to-liquid”, a process created by the company Synhelion that makes sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from sunlight. Swiss will be the first airline to benefit from this procedure and solar kerosene from next year thanks to the collaboration between the Swiss company, Lufthansa and Synhelion.

Germany nationalizes a subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom to guarantee gas supplies

The German government took control of Gazprom Germania to prevent the liquidation of the company and to guarantee security of supply in the gas market. The subsidiary of the Russian gas company owns gas storage assets in Europe and has important supply contracts with German industry. The European Commission will propose to ban coal imports from Russia.
