German company Enertrag plans a large-scale green hydrogen project in Uruguay

The German renewable energy company Enertrag, in collaboration with SEG Engineering, will develop a green hydrogen production project, called Tambor Green Hydrogen Hub in the department of Tacuarembo in Uruguay. The project will have wind and solar plants, as well as an electrolyser and conversion facilities for the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

They develop a small thermophotovoltaic cell as efficient as the turbines of thermoelectric plants

Engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) have developed a novel thermophotovoltaic (TPV) cell capable of converting heat into electricity with an efficiency of over 40%. A device with a performance never before achieved with this type of technology, which is comparable to that of the turbines of thermoelectric plants, reported the educational institution.
