Ovako, a leading European player in steel production and one of the leading steel recyclers in northern European nations, has inaugurated a pioneering hydrogen facility in Hofors, Sweden. It is the first in the world to generate hydrogen without emissions derived from fossil fuels for use in the initial heating of steel before it is rolled.

Brazil buys natural and enriched uranium from Russia

In December 2022, the Russian state company Rosatom entered into a contract with the Brazilian state company Industrias Nucleares do Brasil to supply enriched uranium to the Angra nuclear power plant, located in Rio de Janeiro. Subsequently, on May 4, both companies reached a new agreement for the delivery of natural uranium.
