In the dynamic panorama of international trade, Puerto Bahía is positioned as an indispensable strategic partner for the dry cargo, RoRo, container and liquid bulk industries, thanks to its privileged geographic location in the bay of Cartagena, Colombia, and its extensive connectivity by sea, river and land. With a natural depth of 20 meters that allows handling deep-draft vessels, Puerto Bahía facilitates fluid and efficient operations. In addition, it has a concession and expansion area of 160 hectares, guaranteeing space for continuous growth and development. It is also authorized as a CDLI where cargo can be stored for up to 2 years without carrying out customs procedures.

The port stands out as the most important RoRo terminal in Colombia, handling more than 90% of this type of cargo in the Colombian Caribbean. With 290 meters and 2 berthing positions in the dry terminal dock, along with 42 hectares for dry cargo storage, Puerto Bahía is equipped with 100-ton mobile cranes, 45-ton reach stackers, 150-ton tug master tractors, trailers and specialized lifting equipment to efficiently handle any type of cargo.

Regarding hydrocarbons, Puerto Bahía is the largest private terminal in Colombia in terms of storage capacity, with 2 berthing positions for ships of up to 1.2 million barrels and capacity for crossdocking operations. It has 32 hectares for 8 storage tanks, each with a nominal capacity of 330 kbbl, a heating system in 4 of them, immediate capacity to expand up to 660 kbbl with 2 additional tanks and the possibility of continuing to expand the storage area in the future; in addition to the capacity to handle barge convoys of up to 2,500 DWT simultaneously, with 12 positions for truck unloading and 3 for simultaneous loading.

Security is a top priority at Puerto Bahía, which has a modern AI-powered radar coverage system for detecting and tracking suspicious objects or activities, with images transmitted to a centralized command and control center operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also has a specialized scanner for non-intrusive inspection of all types of cargo.
