Starting today, Wednesday the 5th, the ‘ XVIII Seminar for Maritime Oil Terminal and Monobuoy Operators ‘ begins at the Estelar Cartagena de Indias Hotel & Convention Center in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, which will run until Friday, October 7, 2022.

This event, organized by the Latin American Society of Oil Maritime Terminal and Monobuoy Operators (SLOM), is a meeting that allows the exchange of technical knowledge and experiences in oil maritime operations and this year has as its motto: “Promoting responsible operations through risk control”.
It has a commercial sample of more than 35 exhibiting companies where they will exhibit the latest technologies, products and specialized services for the maritime, port and oil sector.
On the day, 38 conferences will be given on different topics, best practices and novelties in the maritime sector, three dynamic workshops and complementary academic activities will be presented, such as the ‘AMPP – SLOM Day’ and the ‘OCIMF Day’.
Some of the lectures will be: “Are you in charge of your own successful professional development?” By Michelle Unger, from the ROSEN GROUP company, “The importance of processes in the ship-shore interface” by Walter Garibotto, from the YPF company, “Marine Assurance” by Captain Gonzalo Mera Truffini, from the MIS MARINE company, among others.
