Facebook and Ray-Ban presented the new Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses, which have two built-in cameras, microphones and speakers, which allow you to take photos, videos, listen to music and even make calls from your mobile. It is priced at $299 and is already available in the US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, Italy and the UK.
The new Ray-Ban Stories have two 5-megapixel cameras in each of the upper corners of the front of the frame with an LED light that will turn on every time the wearer takes a photo or video. In this way, other people will know that the cameras are on, as reported in a statement through their corporate blog.
To take a photo or video in hands-free mode, the user only has to press the button on the temples or through the “Hey Facebook” voice assistant. On one of the pins it has a sound system with 3 microphones and speakers that allow the user to listen to music from any mobile application and capture the sound to answer calls via Bluetooth.
Ray-Ban Stories also allow you to share content on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat or other apps through the Facebook View App. Facebook details that “photos and videos are encrypted and glasses can only be linked to one account at a time.”
