The Epiroc company launches machinery specialized in construction and quarries, a device dedicated to remote radio drilling SmartROC T30 R. This new model, which is based on the SmartROC T25 R technology presented previously, allows for work efficiency by providing more meters of drilling per shift and at a distance.

The design of the SmartROC T30 R integrates a boom rotation capability of 45 degrees to each side, along with an advanced 5.7 meter system , allowing area coverage of up to 24 square meters.

Also the device includes a rotation unit that allows a complete 360-degree rotating feed, facilitating drilling adjacent to the machine itself. With power increased to 19 kW, the T30 R is a robust option for construction and quarrying activities.

With a structure mounted on steel tracks and a design that optimizes the center of gravity, the SmartROC T30 R for its performance and adaptability in difficult terrain . “The equipment offers unmatched maneuverability and stability in any terrain condition,” explained an Epiroc spokesperson.

Marcus Leü, Epiroc’s global product manager, commented on the versatility of the T30 R, mentioning that its compact design does not compromise power or the ability to operate in confined spaces, such as urban centers or wells. “This machine is powerful, compact and extremely efficient, allowing it to tackle even the most challenging projects,” said Leü.

It is important to note that the SmartROC T30 R is equipped with Epiroc ‘s rig control system (RCS), which allows high automation and precision in drilling operations . This system facilitates automatic rod manipulation and access to advanced technologies such as the hole navigation system (HNS), which uses data from multiple points to ensure drilling at the correct depth, significantly improving the quality and safety of operations.
