From Houston, Texas during the ASNT 2023 annual conference, Richard Blaser from Inspenet had the pleasure of interviewing Zeki Gokce, Technical Sales Manager, and Jean Philip, Commercial Events Coordinator, representing EDDYFI TECHNOLOGIES, leading the presentation of pioneering advances in the field of non-destructive inspection (NDT).
Innovation on the Show Floor
EDDYFI is present with two booths, including number 407, where Zeki Gokce proudly presented the Sonyks Guided Wave system, which he has dubbed his “baby.” This all-in-one system represents a breakthrough in inspection technology, integrating functionality that previously required multiple handheld devices.
The Cutting Edge of Inspection Technology
The booth also showcased the tank floor scanner, a key tool for tank inspection that incorporates lasers and lights, making inspectors’ jobs easier. The “Eddy Current Array” system and the innovative “Ectane 3” which includes artificial intelligence features to enhance inspection, were other stars on display.
The Age of Robotics at NDT
The presence of robots specializing in NDT inspections is a clear indication of where the future of the industry is headed, and EDDYFI is not far behind. Craig, the company’s robotics specialist, demonstrated the ability and effectiveness of magnetic crawlers for visual and NDT inspections in confined spaces.
Preparing for Success
Jean Philip shared with INSPENET the intensity of the planning that goes into setting up such a complex booth and is already thinking ahead to ASNT 2024. “A lot of time and effort goes into making sure each event is better than the last,” Jean Philip said.
Looking to the Future
While saving details for next year, Jean Philip hints that EDDYFI will continue to grow and surprise the industry with significant innovations.
