The CRRC Tangshan company, one of the main Chinese manufacturers of high-speed trains, has developed the first new energy light rail for Argentina, reported the agency ‘Xinhua’. He added that the train will serve in the transport system of the Argentine province of Jujuy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The company CRRC Tangshan (…) has produced the first light rail of new energy for Argentina, which at the same time is the first export project of this type of train by the Asian country,” the newspaper said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He indicated that the ceremony marking the completion of the train’s production was held on June 6 in the Chinese city of Tangshan, in the Chinese province of Hebei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The train is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 60 km\/h and can carry between 72 and 388 passengers, as well as having two control cabins at both ends that allow bidirectional driving, the agency said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president of CRRC Tangshan, Zhou Junnian, quoted by the outlet, said that this project will contribute “to the tourism development of Jujuy and create a new model of win-win cooperation between China and Latin American countries.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 5, 2022, CRRC Tangshan reported having signed a new energy light rail project with Jujuy province through an online ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CRRC Tangshan Company is the largest rail transportation equipment supplier based in Beijing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
