Having designed robots for over 40 years, Shibaura Machine is respected globally as an automation expert.

What is a SCARA robot?

A SCARA robot is the acronym for “Selective Compliant Assembly or Articulated Robot Arm”, which means “Selectively Adaptive Assembly Robot Arm”. It is a robot that serves to automate repetitive processes, improving the efficiency of the process. They manage high-speed part and material handling operations.

Innovation in robotics! As the second largest robot in the range, it has a payload of 20 kg and a maximum cycle time of 0.41 seconds.

The largest of the series, THE1000 offers the same high payload and can be used in processes that require a longer reach, due to its one meter arm length. As with the entire THE range, both new additions are compatible with Shibaura Machine’s TS5000 controller, to facilitate robot programming.

The smallest option, the THE400 model exhibits a precise motion path with high-speed operation with a cycle time of 0.39 seconds. It is specifically designed for precise assembly and inspection applications in the electronic equipment and automotive component industries.

For its part, the THE600 model, with an arm length of 600 mm, offers the same high speeds, but with improvements in synchronized control and tracking precision.

All models in this range are compatible with the TS5000 robot controller, the latest controller from Shibaura Machine. This technology is designed to comply with Industry 4.0 and provides the launch pad for the next generation of Shibaura Machine robots. The controller is 33 percent smaller than previous models and weighs just 10kg, keeping factory footprint to a minimum.

“The THE range offers quality and efficiency and, in combination with the TS5000 controller, provides a formidable automation solution,” explained Nigel Smith, Managing Director of TM Robotics.

Source and photos : InfoPLC

Don’t miss the Inspenet News at: https://inspenet.com/inspenet-tv/

[13030,13058

post-84375","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-industry","categoria_noticias-robotics
["GET
