The company, founded in 2018, is dedicated to zero-carbon maritime freight transport, using sailing cargo ships to reduce its environmental impact and foster a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n<p>The vessel used for the maiden voyage was De Tukker, a modernized sailing ship built in 1912, capable of carrying between 50 and 70 tons of cargo and 12 crew members. These boats will be able to transport up to 48 people and 500 tons of cargo.<\/p>\n\n<p>De Tukker will ship to various ports in Northern and Western Europe, including the main ports of Amsterdam, Porto and London.<\/p>\n\n<p>With this initiative, EcoClipper seeks to promote sustainable maritime transport, reducing the carbon footprint and contributing to the fight against climate change.
