{"id":41892,"date":"2022-06-28T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-28T15:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/colombia-energy-demand-grew-4-5-in-the-second-week-of-june\/"},"modified":"2022-06-30T10:11:39","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T14:41:39","slug":"colombia-energy-demand-grew-4-5-in-the-second-week-of-june","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/colombia-energy-demand-grew-4-5-in-the-second-week-of-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombia: energy demand grew 4.5 % in the second week of June"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By<\/strong>: Franyi Sarmiento, Ph.D., Inspenet, June 28, 2022<\/p>\n\n<p>The Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy revealed that electricity demand in the second week of June (June 11-17) averaged 209.2 GWh\/day, an increase of 4.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n<p>The figure also represented an increase of 0.6% compared to the first week of the same month, according to Ministry data.<\/p>\n\n<p>The portfolio explained that the average demand for this week&#8217;s working days (five days) was 214.1 GWh\/day and increased 0.4% compared to the previous week&#8217;s working days, which averaged 213.7 GWh\/day (five days).<\/p>\n\n<p>The Mining, Industry and Commerce sectors presented the highest favorable variations with 5.1%, 4.9% and 1%, respectively.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, in regional terms, THC, Valle del Cauca and Antioquia presented the most favorable variations with 1.4%, 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively.<\/p>\n\n<p>Additionally, the Mines and Energy portfolio revealed that the aggregate reservoir as of June 18 stood at 77.1 %, up 3.16 percentage points compared to the previous week and 32.66 pp above the level reached in 2016 for the same date during the 2015-2016 dry season.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, the stock market price for the second week of June 2022 averaged $95.4 \/kWh, down $3.4\/kWh versus the previous week. And contributions grew to an average value of 304 GWh\/day.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, thermal generation averaged 41.9 GWh\/day, up 43 % compared to the previous week.
