This project, led by a consortium comprising Azule Energy, TotalEnergies, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, and Sonangol E&amp;P, represents a technical and geopolitical milestone for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to international markets. <\/p>\n\n<p>At full operation, Quiluma will produce approximately <strong>330 million cubic feet of gas per day<\/strong>, equivalent to 2 million tons of LNG annually. All extracted gas is destined for the Angola LNG plant, which primarily supplies Europe and Asia, consolidating the country as a significant new player in the <strong><a href=\"\/en\/news\/u-s-authorizes-increase-in-lng-exports-from-plaquemines-lng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">global gas trade<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Company Participation<\/h2>\n\n<p>The consortium responsible for the project&#8217;s development has the following structure: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Azule Energy, with 37.4% and operator role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TotalEnergies, with 11.8%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cabinda Gulf Oil Company (Chevron) with 31%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sonangol E&amp;P, with 19.8%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This combination of forces reflects the strategic interest in diversifying and securing <strong><a href=\"\/en\/articles\/natural-gas-a-bridge-to-clean-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cleaner<\/a><\/strong> and more stable energy sources for both Africa and the rest of the world.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Commitment to global energy security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>By ensuring a sustainable long-term gas supply for the Angola LNG plant, the project reinforces Angola&#8217;s capacity to supply LNG to international markets in the long term, including Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n<cite>Mike Sangster, Senior Vice President Africa, Exploration  Production at TotalEnergies.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>The development of the <strong>Quiluma field<\/strong> not only expands the country&#8217;s productive capacity but also strengthens its role as a strategic energy supplier for global markets.
