The delivery was made by the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries on January 29 off the port of Mokpo. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VLGC Energia Grandeur and its environmental approach<\/h2>\n\n<p>This new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/construction-of-solvangs-first-vlgc-vessels-begins-in-south-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/solvang-inicia-construccion-de-buques-vlgc\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VLGC<\/a><\/strong> of 230 meters in length, powered by dual LPG <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/exmar-glp-powered-transport-vessel\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/exmar-buque-de-transporte-propulsado-por-glp\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dual LPG and heavy fuel oil<\/a><\/strong> and heavy fuel oil, stands out for its environmentally efficient design. Its LPG operation reduces CO2 emissions by 20% and sulfur oxides and fine particulate emissions by 90% compared to conventional fuel oil. In addition, the vessel has been designed to transport ammonia, a fuel with growing potential in the global energy transition because it does not emit carbon dioxide during combustion.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Moreover, the Energia Grandeur is equipped with a shaft generator, a technology that allows the diesel generators to be shut down when the main engines are running, improving overall energy efficiency. The vessel was financed through a transition-linked loan, which adjusts its conditions according to the fulfillment of previously established environmental objectives. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ecological identity and long-term vision<\/h2>\n\n<p>This vessel is part of MOL&#8217;s &#8220;BLUE&#8221; fleet, whose visual identity combines navy blue and turquoise as a symbol of the group&#8217;s environmental commitment.
