The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/singapore-achieves-historic-port-throughput-figures-for-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Port Authority<\/a><\/strong> selected 8 winners from 54 proposals, exclusively supporting projects implemented within the port area and outside the scope of the European ETS. <\/p>\n\n<p>This process seeks to encourage not only the industry, but also logistics and service providers to <strong>transform their operations towards sustainable models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">These are the selected companies and projects<\/h2>\n\n<p>The companies to receive funding range from waste treatment to electrification of heavy machinery. The projects selected were: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Xirqulate<\/strong>: Converts contaminated port sludge from the Slufter into raw materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Real1ze<\/strong>: Implements <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/video-tv\/safe-tank-degassing-solutions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mobile degassing of ships<\/a><\/strong>avoiding offshore voyages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ECT<\/strong>: Will replace diesel AGVs with electric versions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Steinweg<\/strong>: Will renew its diesel reach stackers with electric models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Celsius<\/strong>: Will deploy onshore mobile electric power solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fleet Robotics<\/strong>: It will be in charge of cleaning hulls of marine and inland vessels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Den Bosch \/ Nijmegen Max<\/strong>: Will convert two inland waterway vessels to battery electric propulsion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kalmar<\/strong>: Will manufacture new generation electric reach stackers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A rigorous and transparent process<\/h2>\n\n<p>After the 54 applications were received, 20 were shortlisted and a technical jury evaluated the feasibility of each proposal, while the consulting firm EY audited that the CO\u2082e reductions were measurable and verifiable. Finally, contracts were signed with the 8 initiatives that offered <strong>the highest reduction at the lowest cost per ton.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Statements and next steps<\/h2>\n\n<p>Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, welcomed the success of this first round:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Our goal is to use Carbonbid to persuade these parties to be more sustainable when necessary.
