This agreement represents a key step towards the consolidation of global supply chains for low-carbon fuels, aligned with European industrial decarbonization targets. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renewable ammonia supply<\/h2>\n\n<p>Production will originate from AM Green Ammonia&#8217;s plant under construction in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, with an initial capacity of 1 million tons per year. The first shipment is scheduled for 2028. The facility will operate under RFNBO standards, ensuring traceability of the renewable fuel according to European regulations.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The project is supported by international investors such as Gentari, GIC and ADIA, and technology companies such as Casale, Toyo and NTPC Renewables. AM Green will use a 2.3 GW combination of wind and solar power, backed by a pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant, to ensure a steady and continuous power supply to its electrolyzers. <\/p>\n\n<p>Green ammonia is positioned as one of the most cost-effective solutions for reducing emissions in industries such as chemicals, fertilizers and refining. Its ability to act as a hydrogen carrier expands its potential in sectors such as shipping. For <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/uniper-signs-agreement-biomethane-supply\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"311134\">Uniper<\/a>, this agreement diversifies its clean energy portfolio and reinforces its sustainable supply strategy for the European market.  <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to reducing up to 2 million tons of CO\u2082 per year once operational, the project will generate more than 600 jobs in India. This partnership strengthens the country&#8217;s position as a relevant supplier of renewable fuels on a global scale. <\/p>\n\n<p>Uniper and AM Green will work together with certifying bodies to ensure that renewable ammonia meets European requirements.
