The contract extension, signed with <strong>Esso Exploration Angola<\/strong>, a subsidiary of <strong>ExxonMobil<\/strong>, extends SBM Offshore&#8217;s presence and operation in the African country until 2032. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Production operations of FPSO Mondo and Saxi Batuque<\/h2>\n\n<p>With this agreement, <em>SBM Offshore<\/em> maintains the management of these offshore platforms, and is committed to carry out life extension activities. Operations will include equipment refurbishment, technical improvements and assurance of operating standards to guarantee the continuity of hydrocarbon production in safe conditions. <\/p>\n\n<p>Renovation work is scheduled to begin in 2026, ensuring asset integrity and deepwater operational capability throughout the new contract period. Such a transaction reflects <em>ExxonMobil&#8217;<\/em> s confidence in SBM Offshore&#8217;s technical expertise to handle <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/exxonmobil-the-purchase-of-fpso-prosperity\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"204992\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complex infrastructure<\/a><\/strong> in demanding projects. <\/p>\n\n<p>Block 15 is one of the strategic points for offshore oil production in Angola. Under the operation of <strong>Esso Exploration Angola<\/strong>, and with the participation of companies such as Azule Angola, Equinor and Sonangol, the area remains for the region&#8217;s energy supply.
