The contract, valued at approximately <strong>$425 million<\/strong>, reinforces the company&#8217;s strategic positioning in the Eurasian country&#8217;s energy market. <\/p>\n\n<p>With an estimated duration of two and a half years, this project is part of the <strong>third phase of the Sakarya field development<\/strong> and incorporates additional activities that will scale up domestic natural gas production.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">153 km of gas pipelines at 2200 meters depth<\/h2>\n\n<p>The contract covers <strong>engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services<\/strong> for 3 new pipelines with a combined length of 153 kilometers. These will connect the newly discovered Goktepe field, at a depth of 2200 meters, with the existing Sakarya Phase 3 facilities, located <strong>80 kilometers away<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>The execution of the work will be carried out with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/saipem-completes-installation-of-subsea-pipeline-for-equinor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Castorone<\/a><\/strong>one of Saipem&#8217;s flagship units for deepwater pipelaying. The offshore campaign is scheduled for the second half of 2027, in continuity with the contract previously signed in September 2025 for the same field. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A blueprint for Turkey&#8217;s energy strategy<\/h2>\n\n<p>The development of the Sakarya field and the Goktepe field is in line with the Turkish government&#8217;s objectives to <strong>reduce its dependence on foreign energy<\/strong> by exploiting its own resources in the Black Sea. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/turkey-drilling-operations-black-sea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Sea<\/a><\/strong>.
