The partnership seeks to strengthen energy cooperation between the two countries and meet the Egyptian market’s growing demand for gas.

The signing of the agreement took place in Doha, at QatarEnergy’s headquarters, in the presence of the Qatari Minister of Energy and CEO of the company, Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, and his Egyptian counterpart, Karim Badawi.

Supporting Egypt’s energy demand

The LNG supply to Egypt is scheduled for the 2026 summer season, an important period when the North African country’s energy demand intensifies due to high industrial and domestic consumption.
