Aker Solutions <\/strong>consolidates its position in the Norwegian energy market after extending its inspection services contract with Equinor. The extension, which will take effect in 2026, covers critical offshore and onshore assets for hydrocarbon production and refining. <\/p>\n\n

The company announced a four-year extension of its contract for the provision of onshore and offshore inspection services<\/strong> to Equinor in Norway, after the client exercised an option included in the current agreement.<\/p>\n\n

The extension, effective January 1, 2026, reinforces Equinor’s operational continuity and consolidates Aker Solutions as one of its main suppliers in industrial asset integrity management.<\/p>\n\n

Facilities covered by the extended contract<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The scope of work includes in-service inspection<\/strong><\/a> of multiple strategic assets, including Statfjord A, B and C; Martin Linge; the Oseberg Central, South, East and C fields; the Mongstad onshore refinery; \u00c5sgard A, B and C; Kristin; Heidrun A and B; and Njord A and B.<\/p>\n\n

The activities will be executed by Aker Solutions teams from Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim, covering more than 15 operational facilities in different regions of Norway.<\/p>\n\n

Advanced inspection and life cycle management<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The agreement covers conventional and advanced inspections, as well as planning and engineering services, which are considered essential for operators to maintain control of their assets and allocate resources efficiently.<\/p>\n\n

According to Paal Eikeseth, executive vice president and head of the Life Cycle division, Aker Solutions combines specialized personnel, consolidated processes and technologies such as drones and data-driven algorithms to assess asset condition, manage risks and support safe and timely technical decisions.<\/p>\n\n
