The quality places this energy source among the highest international standards for urban passenger transportation. This project is part of a sustainable mobility pilot promoted in collaboration with <strong>Transmilenio<\/strong>, <strong>Green M\u00f3vil<\/strong>, <strong>Superpolo<\/strong>, <strong>Fanalca <\/strong>and <strong>Fenoge<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green hydrogen production for transportation in Bogota<\/h2>\n\n<p>To make this initiative possible, a <strong>PEM technology electrolyzer<\/strong> was installed with a power of 165 kW and a capacity to generate more than 23 tons of green H2 per year. The hydrogenerator is a system that allows supplying the bus in less than 10 minutes and a storage network of 140 kg in high-pressure cylinders. <\/p>\n\n<p>According to <em>Ecopetrol<\/em>, tests are being carried out in controlled environments before the specially assembled bus is put into operation on <strong>real SITP routes<\/strong>. The objective is to evaluate the performance of hydrogen in real conditions and validate safety, efficiency and performance standards. <\/p>\n\n<p>This development ratifies the state-owned company&#8217;s commitment to the decarbonization of transportation and the construction of a diversified portfolio of energy solutions. At the same time, it positions Colombia as a regional reference in the <strong>use of green hydrogen in mobility applications<\/strong>, adding to the results obtained previously in Cartagena, where the Colombian company operated a hydrogen plant in real conditions and with ultra-high pressure. <\/p>\n\n<p>The initiative demonstrates that it is feasible to implement <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ecopetrol-acquires-strategic-wind-project-in-la-guajira\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"275362\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean technologies<\/a><\/strong> in Colombian public transport.
