This intervention is part of the contract awarded by <strong>Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad<\/strong> (BPHB) to the Malaysian firm HMN Nadhir Sdn. Bhd. which appointed DEME as a specialized subcontractor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maintenance dredging activities in Sarawak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The work is focused on restoring navigation depth and ensuring operational efficiency at two of East Malaysia&#8217;s most strategic terminals. This deployment includes <strong>trailing suction dredgers<\/strong> operating at both facilities, as well as the installation of floating and land-based pipeline systems to manage the extracted material. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its <strong>first intervention in Bintulu<\/strong> in 1995, <em>DEME <\/em>has maintained a constant involvement in the region&#8217;s port development. In this new phase, in addition to technical maneuvers, the company is running daily progress reports and validating hydrographic data to ensure accuracy at every stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dredging also seeks to maintain the <strong>flow of industrial cargo<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/lng-canada-boosts-liquefied-natural-gas-with-new-canadian\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"314753\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">liquefied natural gas<\/a><\/strong> (LNG), which are critical to Sarawak&#8217;s economy.
