Last November, the Alberto Pasqualini Refinery<\/strong>(Refap<\/em>), located in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul state, recorded a historic figure in its monthly production of S-10 diesel, reaching 274.8 million liters. This volume represents a 7% increase over the previous peak recorded in August, and reflects Petrobras <\/strong>‘ sustained progress in the production of low-sulfur fuels<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Record figures in S-10 diesel production<\/h2>\n\n

With this brand, it is estimated that about 920,000 city buses could be supplied, considering an average tank capacity of 300 liters. On the other hand, fuel sales reached a high level, with 277.2 million liters distributed during the same month. <\/p>\n\n

This formulated fuel has a maximum sulfur content of 10 parts per million<\/a><\/strong> of 10 parts per million, and is designed for the new generation of engines that comply with CONAMA<\/strong> environmental regulations. In addition, its use contributes to reducing emissions of atmospheric pollutants and improving air quality in urban centers. <\/p>\n\n

Petrobras plans to allocate about US$ 15.8 billion to the Refining, Transportation, Marketing, Petrochemicals and Fertilizers<\/strong>(RTC<\/em>) segment through 2030. This effort seeks to raise the share of diesel in its production matrix from 40% to 45%, prioritizing the reduction of sulfur content in its derivatives. <\/p>\n\n

The completion of projects such as Train 2 of the Abreu e Lima Refinery<\/strong>(Rnest<\/em>) and the progress at the Boaventura Refinery<\/strong> will add 307 thousand barrels per day to the installed capacity of S-10 diesel production<\/strong>, strengthening the national supply and reducing dependence on alternatives with a greater environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n

Refap <\/em>has a processing capacity of up to 35 million liters of oil per day. In addition to S-10 diesel, the plant produces gasoline<\/g>, LPG<\/g><\/g>QAV-1<\/g>, propane<\/g>, petrochemical naphtha<\/g>, asphalt <\/g>and fuel oil<\/g>. This performance is supported by investments in technology and efficiency that allow the infrastructure to be adapted to a more sustainable profile. <\/p>\n\n
