The result is NEO NEXT+, which is projected to be the largest independent producer of oil and gas in the world. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/oil-and-gas-influence-on-global-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/articulo\/influencia-petroleo-y-el-gas-economia-global\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oil and gas<\/a><\/strong> independent oil and gas producer in the country. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key assets for gas production UK<\/h2>\n\n<p>The transaction contemplates a shareholding structure in which TotalEnergies retains a 47.5% stake, followed by HitecVision with 28.875% and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.com\/en\/press-room\/press-releases\/2025\/repsol-hitec-vision-merge-joint-venture-total-energies-uk-upstream-business-becoming-leading-oil-gas-operator-uk-north-sea\/index.cshtml\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.com\/en\/press-room\/press-releases\/2025\/repsol-hitec-vision-merge-joint-venture-total-energies-uk-upstream-business-becoming-leading-oil-gas-operator-uk-north-sea\/index.cshtml\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Repsol UK with 23.625%.<\/a><\/strong>. This new structure will enable optimized resource management and consolidate a large portfolio of offshore assets on the UK Continental Shelf. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/well-safe-and-well-decommissioning\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/well-safe-y-el-desmantelamiento-de-pozos\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UK Continental Shelf<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>The integrated assets include interests in flagship fields such as Elgin\/Franklin, Penguins, Mariner, Shearwater, Culzean, Alwyn North and Dunbar. This integration seeks to generate operational synergies, reduce costs and maximize economic performance in a challenging environment for the industry. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Production projections and regional commitment<\/h2>\n\n<p>NEO NEXT+ is projected to reach production of more than 250,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2026, positioning it to be a key player in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/uk-closes-last-coal-fired-plant\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/reino-unido-cierra-ultima-central-de-carbon\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">energy security of the United Kingdom.<\/a><\/strong>.
