These are cathodic protection cages and mooring platforms for service vessels, critical elements to ensure the durability and operability of the offshore bases against <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/corrosion-is-a-problem-can-be-controlled\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/articulo\/metodos-de-control-de-la-corrosion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">corrosion<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anode cages and offshore operating support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Manufacturing at GPB&#8217;s facility in Gdansk represents a significant step forward in Poland&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/eirgrid-celebrates-key-breakthrough-in-offshore-wind-energy-in-ireland\/\">offshore wind energy<\/a><\/strong> supply chain. The contract calls for the delivery of 111 steel cages and an equal number of access platforms, of which four will be destined for offshore substations and 107 for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/menck-powers-hornsea-3-with-advanced-ramming-technology\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"282252\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wind turbine foundations<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These auxiliary structures allow safe access to the foundations, house safety and firefighting equipment and form an integral part of the support system for the main components of the wind farm. Their anti-corrosion function is essential for the longevity of the offshore infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supervised production with focus on safety and quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The manufacturing process includes welding, steel cutting, machining and work at heights, all under strict safety protocols. Each unit goes through an inspection plan that ensures full traceability of materials and compliance with the standards required by the project developers, \u00d8rsted and PGE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once operational in 2027, <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/pgebaltica.pl\/en\/about-us\/key-information-about-our-projects\/baltica-2\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/pgebaltica.pl\/en\/about-us\/key-information-about-our-projects\/baltica-2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baltica 2<\/a> wind farm will reach a capacity of 1.5 GW<\/strong> and will provide <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/verne-powers-clean-on-site-energy-with-hydrogen\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"260957\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean energy<\/a><\/strong> approximately 2.5 million households.
