Such approval follows design reviews conducted by ABS based on the <em>ABS Requirements for Autonomous and Remote Control Functions<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hanwha Ocean Remote Control Technology and Functions  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is part of the <strong>Offshore Technology Collaboration Agreement<\/strong><em> (OTCA<\/em>) between <em>ABS <\/em>and <em>Hanwha Ocean<\/em>, which fosters collaboration on innovative projects in three strategic areas: sustainability, digitization and artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity of operational technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remote monitoring technologies<\/strong> are changing the way offshore assets are managed, facilitating continuous data acquisition, advanced analytics and operational forecasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Patrick Ryan, ABS senior vice president and chief technology officer, these innovations not only contribute to health, safety and quality compliance, but also improve asset performance through real-time decisions and automated control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Shon, Hanwha Ocean&#8217;s Technical Director, mentioned that with this project they have been able to maximize the operability of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/hanwha-ocean-builds-icebreaker-research-vessel-for-polar-exploration\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"276884\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marine plants<\/a><\/strong> and improve the safety of the collaborators.
