It is currently producing <strong>battery-grade lithium on a commercial scale<\/strong> and developing advanced technologies such as <strong>Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ANSTO<\/strong>, for its part, is the Australian government&#8217;s main scientific agency and one of the <strong>pillars of the Australian Critical Minerals R&amp;D Center.<\/strong> Its Minerals unit has driven refining technologies applied to strategic resources such as lithium and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/eclipse-metals-forms-alliance-with-u-s-to-promote-rare-earths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rare earths<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details of the agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The focus of the agreement is mainly on lithium and rare earths, for which both organizations will develop <strong>intermediate and downstream processing technologies<\/strong> to transform the raw ore into high purity chemicals or metals ready for use by industry. They will also hold <strong>regular technical exchange meetings to<\/strong> strengthen scientific collaboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Global projection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The POSCO Group has strengthened its commitment to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/united-states-updates-its-list-of-critical-minerals-for-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">strategic minerals in 2025<\/a><\/strong>, including investments to secure lithium resources and establish partnerships with institutions such as <strong>CSIRO and Geoscience Australia<\/strong>.
