Maersk has officially opened its new logistics center in the Lin-gang area of Shanghai, consolidating its commitment to an integrated service network in the Asia-Pacific region. This new complex, with an investment of more than $140 million, is one of the largest warehousing developments in the company’s history. <\/p>\n\n
Located 40 km from the port of Yangshan, the center is positioned as a key node for connecting international trade from China. Its proximity to maritime, air and land infrastructures allows full integration with Maersk’s logistics services. This new infrastructure supports both export and import operations, strengthening omni-channel logistics on a regional and global scale. <\/p>\n\n
The center is equipped to handle customs and non-customs operations, enabling companies to move and transform goods without duplicating procedures. Thanks to its certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), Maersk ensures fast and cost-effective clearance, facilitating cross-border trade and adapting to the needs of both B2B and B2C trade. <\/p>\n\n
The complex features state-of-the-art technology, including automated storage and retrieval systems, stacker cranes and rail-guided robots. Advanced management software enables real-time inventory control and data-driven operational decisions. All of this translates into greater accuracy, lower logistics costs and a more efficient operation. <\/p>\n\n
