This project integrates photovoltaic generation and energy storage in a system that has been feeding energy into the grid since October. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The intelligent capability of the hybrid solar power plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>This park has an <strong>installed solar capacity<\/strong> of 46.4 megawatts and is located on a 41-hectare former gravel pit. Moreover, the estimated annual generation of 50,000 MWh is equivalent to the consumption of about 14,000 households in a regional community. <\/p>\n\n<p>To store surplus electricity, 88 units with <strong>lithium-ion batteries<\/strong> were integrated, reaching a total capacity of 57 MWh. This infrastructure allows the solar energy <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/statkraft-moves-forward-with-its-first-solar-wind-hybrid-project-in-spain\/\">solar energy generated during the day<\/a><\/strong> during the day can be released at night or at times of high demand, improving the efficiency and balance of the grid. <\/p>\n\n<p>The plant was developed in-house by Statkraft as a project developer in Germany. From the laying of the first stone to its inauguration, the execution took twelve months, meeting the planned deadlines. This type of energy infrastructure represents a concrete way to guarantee stability of supply and move towards a <strong>decentralized energy model<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This project has economic implications for Zerbst\/Anhalt, which will receive income from corporate taxes and a voluntary contribution of 100,000 euros from Statkraft.
