The contract covers full technical support for six vessels in its fleet, four krill fishing vessels and two cargo vessels. cargo vessels.

What type of contract is it?

Both companies signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA), which defines in a very clear and measurable way the services that the supplier, in this case Vard Electro, must deliver to its customer, i.e. Aker. It is not just a sale of spare parts, it is a guarantee of performance and states things like:

Response times for support.

Spare parts availability.

Maintenance hours included.

Performance levels to be met.

What exactly does the agreement include?

The agreement ensures that, no matter where they are in the world, they will have quick access to critical spare parts, preventing the vessel from spending weeks idle for lack of a part. Vard Electro will also carry out scheduled overhauls and maintenance every year to prevent prevent failures.

Vard technicians will provide remote support and training to the ships’ crews, so that the sailors can make essential repairs themselves during their long missions, without having to return to port. The agreement also ensures that Aker’s flagship, the Antarctic Endurance, which operates year-round in the Southern Ocean in extreme conditions of cold, ice and isolation, receives specialized care and continuous technical monitoring.

Why is this agreement important?

This agreement is specifically designed to minimize unplanned downtime for Aker QRILL Company and allow them to plan their fishing campaigns with the confidence that their vessels will be operational.

As Vard Electro’s vice president says, it’s not just a transaction, it’s a collaborative relationship. Vard becomes a technology partner of Aker, not just a vendor.

Source: Vard Electro

Vard Electro will provide full technical support to six vessels to ensure their continued operation under extreme conditions.

[13026,13048

post-314164","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-energy","categoria_noticias-maritime
["GET
