The award to SLB OneSubsea comes shortly after the same technology was selected for the <strong>Kaskida project<\/strong>, also operated by bp in the Gulf. <\/p>\n\n<p>Both fields are designed to integrate a standardized, vendor-led, <strong>high-pressure subsea pumping<\/strong> system, enabling bp to optimize its infrastructure and facilitate the simultaneous development of its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/pipeline-protection-in-offshore-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsea assets<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operational and economic advantages<\/h2>\n\n<p>SLB OneSubsea CEO Mads Hjelmeland noted that <strong>subsea pumping<\/strong> solutions are gaining traction in the industry for their ability to free up surface space, reduce energy requirements and improve the overall efficiency of offshore projects. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/smart-automated-offshore-oil-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore projects<\/a><\/strong>. By using the same technology on Tiber and Kaskida, bp aims to lower total life-cycle cost, shorten lead times and facilitate future operations. <\/p>\n\n<p>The implementation of these standardized systems also allows for <strong>more agile execution<\/strong>, thanks to reduced custom engineering and earlier availability of critical components. This translates into accelerated return on investment and reduced exposure to offshore logistics risks. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The rise of subsea pumping<\/h2>\n\n<p>The growing adoption of <strong>subsea pumping<\/strong> as a development strategy reflects a shift in the way large operators are approaching deepwater production.
