On Tuesday, November 18, Petrobras signed new agreements that consolidate its role as a key player in the territorial development of the region of influence of the Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), in Cubat\u00e3o (SP). <\/p>\n\n
With a total investment of R$ 29.3 million<\/strong>, the company will finance three projects selected by its Socio-environmental Program, focused on generating income, strengthening education and conserving local biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n The“Sustainable Economy, Associated Work and Social Participation<\/strong>” initiative, developed by the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (DIEESE), will support entrepreneurship in vulnerable communities in Cubat\u00e3o. Women, young people and fishermen will receive training in food, marketing and handicrafts, in addition to support for local microenterprises. <\/p>\n\n The second project,“Transforming Tomorrow”<\/strong>, implemented by Cenpec, focuses on children and adolescents in Cubat\u00e3o, S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos and Sarzedo. Music, dance and environmental education workshops will be offered, together with training for educators and professionals from the rights guarantee system. <\/p>\n\n The third initiative,“Red Guar\u00e1<\/strong>“, which is being carried out by Nudaer, seeks to restore mangroves, monitor species such as the scarlet ibis and raise public awareness through environmental education workshops.
