This observing system has been supplied by <strong>TechWorks <\/strong>Marine in collaboration with <strong>Fugro<\/strong>, and will remain operational until the end of 2026. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deployment and supply of meteo-ocean buoys<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Data buoys<\/strong> are used to collect critical information about the marine environment. Parameters recorded include waves, wind, water quality, currents and solar radiation. The data generated will be used by <strong>EirGrid <\/strong>to inform technical decisions in the installation of the offshore wind power transmission infrastructure. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/rosslare-europort-and-sea-wind-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"163624\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind power transmission infrastructure<\/a><\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This project is part of the Irish government&#8217;s efforts to expand its offshore renewable energy capacity and strengthen the national power grid. <em>EirGrid<\/em>, the company responsible for planning and developing the transmission infrastructure, is leading this deployment with an evidence-based approach. <\/p>\n\n<p>Through <strong>ocean monitoring buoys<\/strong>, environmental impact assessment of future facilities will be facilitated. Continuous data will allow for a better understanding of marine dynamics, essential for the design and siting of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/submarine-cable-repair-ship\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"163246\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsea cables<\/a><\/strong> as conversion stations. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechWorks Marine<\/strong>, a specialist in marine technologies based on real-time data, has deployed these monitoring systems with technology adapted to the Irish environment.
