Since the installation of the first wind turbine foundation in September 2025, the Dieppe-Le-Tr\u00e9port offshore wind project <\/strong>has entered a new decisive stage. This offshore wind farm, located off the coast of Normandy, represents one of the world’s leading clean energy<\/a><\/strong> in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development of the offshore wind farm<\/a><\/strong> began more than a decade ago, with initial studies, design and permitting completed between 2014 and 2018. Subsequently, detailed studies, procurement and preliminary offshore work were executed between 2018 and 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offshore wind farm will have 62 turbines and a substation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With an estimated investment of 2.7 billion Euros, the offshore facility will have 62 wind turbines<\/a><\/strong> that will generate a total power of 496 MW, enough to supply some 850,000 people. An offshore power substation, installed in July 2025, will centralize the energy produced and send it to land for distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel, work is progressing on the operations and maintenance base at the Dieppe outer harbor, which began in November 2024. This infrastructure will be key to the operational management of the wind farm during its lifetime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For safety reasons, recreational boating and water activities in the park area are restricted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation installation work will continue progressively until 2026. The goal is to complete the park and put it into operation by the end of that year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
