The vessels will be deployed in offshore wind energy projects, and will feature propulsion and maneuvering systems fully supplied by the Norwegian manufacturer. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New maneuvering systems on North Star&#8217;s vessels<\/h2>\n\n<p>Each vessel will be equipped with an integration of fixed and retractable azimuth thrusters, tunnel thrusters and a combined azimuth\/tunnel unit. Such a configuration will provide maximum maneuvering efficiency and precision, even in highly demanding sea conditions. In addition, the <strong>BruCon PTC control system<\/strong>, a technology developed by <em>Brunvoll <\/em>to optimize the performance of automated navigation, will be integrated.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Dragless technology<\/strong>, integrated into Brunvoll&#8217;s <strong>DL1 nozzle<\/strong>, improves the vessel&#8217;s hydrodynamic behavior at different speeds and reduces loss of efficiency in transit, a common problem with traditional nozzles.<\/p>\n\n<p>The vessels will be 87.5 meters long and will be able to accommodate up to 120 people. They are scheduled for delivery in 2028 and 2029, with charter contracts signed with <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/rwe-installs-its-first-turbine-at-the-sofia-wind-farm\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"238774\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>RWE<\/strong><\/a>a global operator of offshore wind farms. With this new partnership, North Star reaffirms its transition towards a more sustainable operating model, integrating hybrid technology and offshore logistics support solutions.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Both <em>VARD <\/em>and <em>Brunvoll <\/em>have worked closely with North Star in previous design and technical integration phases.
