The gas will be processed and liquefied for subsequent export, together with the associated liquids. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the roles of Eni and YPF?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The strategy contemplates a high-level synergy in which:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>YPF: Will be in charge of upstream operations, including drilling and production at the unconventional field <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/argentina-totalenergies-sells-2-blocks-in-vaca-muerta-to-ypf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vaca Muerta<\/a>\n<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eni: It will act as the international technological and strategic partner, contributing its experience in <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/article-category\/oil-and-gas-midstream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">midstream<\/a>\n<\/strong> operations with FLNG floating platforms, as well as part of the capital required for the development of the Argentina LNG project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>YPF&#8217;s CEO, <strong>Horacio Mar\u00edn<\/strong>, estimated that the initiative will require <strong>the drilling of 800 new wells<\/strong> and a combined investment of <strong>40 billion dollars<\/strong>, between infrastructure and field development.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s next: towards project implementation<\/h2>\n\n<p>It is estimated that exports of liquefied natural gas and liquids associated with the project could reach between <strong>$14 billion and $20 billion annually<\/strong>, a massive injection of foreign exchange for the country.
