This decision paves the way for the Iverson project to move forward into its technical engineering phase, in a concrete commitment to the development of carbon-free fuels for the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/nova-marine-carriers-and-marcegaglia-create-a-company-to-optimize-maritime-transport\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"244125\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maritime sector<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details on new ammonia plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>The plan includes an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/metacon-completes-green-hydrogen-electrolysis-plant-stage-in-greece\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"291638\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electrolysis unit<\/a><\/strong> unit powered by renewable hydroelectric energy. This facility will enable the production of environmentally friendly ammonia, with the aim of reducing nearly three million tons of<sub>CO2<\/sub> emissions during the first ten years of operation. <\/p>\n\n<p>The resulting fuel is intended for marine applications and is part of the Norwegian green transition strategy.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project will have a direct effect on the local economy: more than 300 people will be involved in the construction phase and 50 to 60 permanent jobs will be created once the plant is operational.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, a significant generation of indirect employment linked to services and complementary activities in the region is expected.<\/p>\n\n<p>This initiative is aligned with Rogaland County Council&#8217;s regional plan for emission-free industry, and also responds to Norway&#8217;s national climate commitments, which seeks to position itself as a reference in clean energy applied to industrial sectors.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hy2gen strengthens its presence in Northern Europe<\/h2>\n\n<p>Hy2gen AG, a German-based company and a pioneer in the production of renewable fuels <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/volvo-cars-will-use-renewable-fuels-for-maritime-transport\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"90440\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non-biological renewable fuels<\/a><\/strong> non-biological renewable fuels (RFNBO), currently operates in five countries and is adding a new strategic project with Iverson.
