This project sets a new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ren-reports-that-renewable-energy-production-reaches-historic-highs-in-portugal\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/ren-y-la-produccion-de-energia-renovable\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">record in the use of vertical solar energy and redefines<\/a><\/strong> and redefines the potential of flat roofs in extreme climate regions. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A project led by over easy solar<\/h2>\n\n<p>Norway&#8217;s Over Easy Solar installed 1,600 VPV units with a total capacity of 320 kWp. The company had already set a previous record at the Norwegian National Football Stadium, but now surpasses its own record in a city north of the Arctic Circle.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Its managing director, Trygve Mongstad, noted that the facility is currently the largest in Troms\u00f8 and the largest in the world on a flat roof.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advantages of vertical solar panels<\/h2>\n\n<p>Unlike traditional panels placed at an angle, the vertical design of the flat solar roof is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overeasy.no\/product-flat-roof-solar\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.overeasy.no\/product-flat-roof-solar\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">solar flat roof design<\/a><\/strong> offers specific benefits for northern latitudes:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>captures solar radiation at low angles, frequent in the Arctic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improves generation in the morning and evening hours, when demand and prices are higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>avoids snow accumulation, ensuring higher annual yields<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>allows for access and maintenance with aisles between rows of panels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regional collaboration and support<\/h2>\n\n<p>The installation was carried out with technical support from En\u00f8k Total and with the collaboration of local stakeholders such as Ishavskraft and Sparebank1 Nord-Norge. The building belongs to Troms\u00f8terminalen Eiendom AS and its tenant, Troms\u00f8terminalen AS, already benefits from cheaper energy for freezer terminal operations. <\/p>\n\n<p>This record shows that vertical solar energy is not just a technical alternative. It consolidates itself as a practical and scalable solution that opens up new opportunities to take advantage of rooftops previously ruled out for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/6-5-mw-solar-power-plant-activated-in-australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/en-marcha-un-proyecto-solar-65-mw-australia\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">photovoltaics<\/a><\/strong>.
