{"id":296788,"date":"2025-09-09T23:48:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T03:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/modec-and-afc-announce-alliance-to-lead-offshore-projects-off-the-african-coast\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T08:43:38","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:43:38","slug":"modec-and-afc-announce-alliance-to-lead-offshore-projects-off-the-african-coast","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/modec-and-afc-announce-alliance-to-lead-offshore-projects-off-the-african-coast\/","title":{"rendered":"MODEC and AFC announce alliance to lead offshore projects off the African coast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>MODEC<\/strong> has entered into a cooperation agreement with <strong>Africa Finance Corporation<\/strong><em>(AFC<\/em>) to develop floating production, storage and offloading<em>(FPSO<\/em>) projects and other offshore initiatives along the African coast.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The development of offshore projects<\/h2>\n\n<p>With a consolidated track record in West Africa, <em>MODEC <\/em>has delivered more than a dozen platforms between <strong>FPSO<\/strong>, <strong>FSO<\/strong>, <strong>TLP <\/strong>and <strong>MOPU<\/strong>. It currently manages operations in Ghana and Senegal, and is a strategic player in regional energy production. This experience will be fundamental in the new joint projects with AFC, aimed at sustainable growth and energy self-sufficiency on the continent.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The Africa Finance Corporation has 45 member countries and has mobilized investments of more than US$15 billion in African infrastructure. In addition, its participation guarantees financial strength and long-term vision. In conjunction with MODEC, it will seek to structure viable and resilient proposals for the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/modec-to-develop-new-fpso-for-exxonmobils-hammerhead-project-in-guyana\/\">maritime development<\/a><\/strong>combining technical expertise, venture capital and specialized advice.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This agreement was signed during AFC&#8217;s visit to Japan within the framework of the ninth <strong>TICAD<\/strong>. There, the mutual commitment to accelerate offshore projects that generate economic and social impact in local communities, with a vision aligned to global sustainability standards, was made official.
