Monkey Island LNG Company has announced the adoption of ConocoPhillips’ Optimized Cascade process<\/strong> as the basis for its liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant, located<\/a><\/strong> (LNG) export facility, located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optimized Cascade technology for greater operating efficiency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a rigorous technology evaluation process, the MILNG team selected ConocoPhillips solution<\/a><\/strong> for its rapid restart capability, operational flexibility and energy efficiency<\/strong>. The modular megamodule design of the Optimized Cascade<\/a><\/strong> system’s modular megamodule design reduces the land size required and mitigates risks associated with project development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategically located close to the Gulf of Mexico and with direct access to deepwater shipping channels<\/a><\/strong>, the plant will take advantage of abundant U.S. gas supplies. This geographic position, coupled with a commercial structure focused on cost transparency through its TrueCost LNG model, aims to offer competitive and reliable long-term contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alliance with proven experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Greg Michaels, CEO of Monkey Island LNG, highlighted that this alliance with ConocoPhillips will allow moving forward with a proven technology aligned with the company’s efficiency and sustainability goals. For his part, Darren Meznarich, LNG technology leader at ConocoPhillips, stated that their template is designed to offer scalable solutions, with lower operating costs and higher performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Covering 246 acres, the project is set to be one of the largest liquefaction facilities in the region<\/strong>. Its advancement represents a key step in MILNG’s strategy to meet the growing global demand for clean energy<\/a><\/strong>, by combining advanced technology, prime location and a customer-focused commercial approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
