The specialized subsidiary of <strong>SPIE Global Services Energy<\/strong> will execute the installation and testing of the <strong>interarray subsea cables<\/strong><em>(IAC<\/em>) in Phase II of the <strong>Taiwan Power Company<\/strong><em>(TPC<\/em>) <strong>wind farm<\/strong>, a project that seeks to expand the country&#8217;s sustainable energy capacity. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offshore wind farm and expansion off the coast of Changhua<\/h2>\n\n<p>Located 20 kilometers off the coast of Changhua, the <strong>TPC II project<\/strong> involves the connection of 31 Vestas V174 9.5 MW wind turbines to an offshore substation via IAC cables.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This new development is part of Taiwan&#8217;s efforts to strengthen its renewable energy matrix.<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/spie-wins-second-contract-with-van-oord\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">renewable energy matrix<\/a><\/strong>. Phase II will generate about 1,000 GWh per year, enough to power about 270,000 homes, and contribute an estimated 403,000 metric tons of CO\u2082 reduction annually. <\/p>\n\n<p>Following its successful participation in Phase I of the same wind farm, <em>SPIE Wind Connect<\/em> has been selected by <strong>Shinfox Far East Energy<\/strong><em>(SFE<\/em>) as a strategic partner to carry out this new phase. SPIE&#8217;s choice responds to its track record in high voltage technical solutions and its operational capacity in Asia. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>development of TPC II<\/strong> boosts the farm&#8217;s total generation to more than 1,350 GWh annually.
