{"id":293696,"date":"2025-08-28T15:27:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T19:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/ypf-installs-a-38-meter-reactor-at-lujan-refinery\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T15:49:36","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T19:49:36","slug":"ypf-installs-a-38-meter-reactor-at-lujan-refinery","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ypf-installs-a-38-meter-reactor-at-lujan-refinery\/","title":{"rendered":"YPF installs a 38-meter reactor at Luj\u00e1n refinery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The modernization of the Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo Industrial Complex took a step forward with the installation of the HG-D-3501 reactor, a unit designed to remove sulfur compounds from diesel fuel. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/coking-process-in-refineries\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"181868\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">diesel oil<\/a><\/strong> by means of a catalytic process using hydrogen.<\/p>\n\n<p>This step, which is part of the New Fuel Specifications (NEC) project, marks a decisive advance in the production of fuels with a lower environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A high performance reactor manufactured by IMPSA<\/h2>\n\n<p>The new reactor was built in Mendoza by IMPSA, under international standards. Source: IMPSA OFFICIAL <\/p>\n\n<p>The part will be integrated into the HDS II unit, designed to <strong>reduce sulfur content in diesel to 10 parts per million<\/strong>, in line with current environmental requirements.<\/p>\n\n<p>The NEC plan includes new process units, such as H2 II and SE33, the adaptation of existing facilities and the improvement of auxiliary services. Its execution, which already exceeds 85%, will allow all the diesel oil produced in Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo to comply with the highest emission requirements. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, it seeks to ensure domestic supply of Infinia Diesel and increase the refinery&#8217;s operating capacity.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project also brings benefits to the regional economy. It has generated more than 1,500 direct jobs and boosts the development of supplier SMEs.
