{"id":291664,"date":"2025-08-22T22:54:44","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T02:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/u-s-navy-and-jmsdf-strengthen-interoperability-with-re-supply\/"},"modified":"2025-08-22T23:27:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T03:27:20","slug":"u-s-navy-and-jmsdf-strengthen-interoperability-with-re-supply","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/u-s-navy-and-jmsdf-strengthen-interoperability-with-re-supply\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. Navy and JMSDF strengthen interoperability with re-supply"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From August 12-15, 2025, the commercial tanker Stena Imperative, operated by the <strong>Military Sealift Command<\/strong><em>(MSC<\/em>), completed <strong>ship <\/strong> qualification training<em>(SQT<\/em>) with the <strong>Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force<\/strong><em>(JMSDF<\/em>) tanker JS \u014cmi<em>(AOE-426<\/em>), culminating in a consolidated offshore replenishment<em>(CONSOL<\/em>) operation west of Kyushu, Japan.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interoperability and replenishment<\/h2>\n\n<p>This exercise records progress in logistics interoperability <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/strategies-sustainable-smart-supply-chain\/\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"277338\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">logistical interoperability<\/a><\/strong> between U.S. and Japanese naval forces. Through the <strong>CONSOL procedure<\/strong>, they have been able to have MSC tankers transfer fuel and cargo to combat logistics force<em>(CLF<\/em>) units at full sail, extending the operational autonomy of the allied fleets in the Indo-Pacific. <\/p>\n\n<p>During the training, both crews performed dry-docking maneuvers in port, deploying and recovering fuel lines at <strong>Fleet Activities Command Sasebo<\/strong>. Later, at sea, the actual fuel transfer was performed, certifying the JS \u014cmi&#8217;s ability to receive supplies from U.S. ships. <\/p>\n\n<p>This training builds on previous iterations between MSC <strong>commercial tankers<\/strong> and JMSDF units, consolidating Japanese capability to support prolonged operations at sea. According to Peter P.
