This green gas is fully compatible with existing distribution networks, which facilitates its integration without modifying existing infrastructures. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The biomethane plant in Navarra<\/h2>\n\n<p>This new unit expands a cogeneration installation started in 2011, which has an injection capacity of up to 320 Nm\u00b3\/h. In addition to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/third-biomethane-plant-of-naturgy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">energy production<\/a><\/strong>In addition to energy production, the project includes the valorization of digestate, thus reducing dependence on polluting fertilizers. <\/p>\n\n<p>The initiative has been partially financed by the <strong>Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving<\/strong><em>(IDAE<\/em>) and represents a strategic step towards energy sustainability in the region. <strong>Nedgia<\/strong>, a company of the <strong>Naturgy<\/strong> group, has executed the technical connection through a 25-meter section that links the plant with its distribution network.<\/p>\n\n<p>Ra\u00fal Su\u00e1rez, CEO of Nedgia, mentioned that this integration is important for an effective decarbonization of Navarra. For his part, Luis Javier Alonso, manager of E-Cogeneraci\u00f3n Cabanillas, highlighted the effort made to complete the expansion of the plant and achieve biomethane injection. <\/p>\n\n<p>This new connection brings to twelve the number of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/naturgy-and-bioeco-energias-sign-agreement-for-the-development-of-biomethane-plants\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"239322\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">biomethane installations<\/a><\/strong> active within <strong>Nedgia&#8217;<\/strong> s <strong>network<\/strong> in Spain. Together, these plants have an annual injection capacity of 328 GWh.
