In addition to its headquarters in Virginia, <em>Torc <\/em>has engineering offices in Austin, Texas and Montreal, Canada, as well as an operations center in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. <\/p>\n\n<p><em>Edge Case<\/em>, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specializes in the validation and safety of complex systems. It also maintains a focus on functional safety, which makes them an ideal partner for Torc, especially in the need for autonomous vehicles, where rigorous system validation is essential. <\/p>\n\n<p>The collaboration between Torc and Edge Case will focus on strengthening and streamlining the safety case for autonomous trucks. This will include conducting independent assessments of the <strong>Autonomous Vehicle Safety Case Framework<\/strong>, as well as validating safety evidence to ensure that autonomous trucks can operate safely in real-world conditions. <\/p>\n\n<p>Through this alliance, Torc will benefit from independent external validation of its <strong>safety systems<\/strong>, which will help improve confidence among regulators and consumers alike.
