This initiative responds to the growing need to adopt more environmentally friendly energy sources and the company&#8217;s commitment to sustainability. In addition to its renewable component, the blend includes an additive that ensures optimum performance in boat engines.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The development of enriched marine fuel<\/h2>\n\n<p>Likewise, the integration of this blend in <strong>marine diesel<\/strong> translates into a reduction of the carbon footprint, with a projected reduction of approximately 27 thousand tons of fossil CO2e per year. This figure is equivalent to the preservation of 153 hectares of tropical dry forest. <\/p>\n\n<p>The company&#8217;s move is aligned with the international goals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/maersk-boosts-maritime-decarbonisation-with-its-new-ap-moller-vessel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><strong>International Maritime Organization<\/strong><\/strong><\/a> for 2030 and 2050. In this way, Colombia establishes itself as a regional benchmark in the adoption of measures for greener shipping. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, the Colombian oil company, which supplies the total domestic demand for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/engine-brooks-mccall-updated-comply-carb\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"199086\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marine diesel<\/a><\/strong> and part of the market for international ships, has extended this practice to the entire country.
